Archive 002 — Treskilling Yellow
Treskilling Yellow
A discovery that became a philatelic legend.
In 1885, 14-year-old Swedish schoolboy Georg Wilhelm Backman was visiting his grandmother at Munga Gård in Västmanland when he discovered an extraordinary stamp among old family correspondence: a 3 Skilling Banco printed in yellow instead of its intended blue-green.
That single discovery became the Treskilling Yellow, one of the greatest rarities in philatelic history — and the only known example of its kind.
More than a century later, Archive 002 brings this remarkable story into a new form. Reimagined as a 100-piece miniature puzzle, the Treskilling Yellow becomes an object to assemble, contemplate and collect.
Finished with a delicate soft-touch surface for a refined, tactile feel.
